HR 2309 (continued)
A third provision of HR 2309 would allow a right to rescind clause that would allow a customer to drive off with their new car but have the right to return it if they aren’t happy during a small window of time. This one sounds good in theory but think about it…… the dealer can’t send the loan documents to the FI until the period is over to avoid any interest accumulating, the dealer has to safely store the trade in somewhere, and the new car bought now comes back with more mileage and wear and tear. Does it sound like a good idea to you?
